E-coupons (Electronic Coupons) are coupons that you load directly to your grocery / drug stores loyalty card. They DO NOT double. And some grocery stores (Ralphs) will NOT ALLOW you to use an e-coupon and a paper coupon on the same item (beeps). So be careful when loading them.. I usually only load an e-coupon when I don't have a paper coupon for an item, so I don't miss any saving with my paper coupon that usually doubles up to $1.00 value.
